We have all been excited this month as we are going
one by one to our new families.
Ariadne, Argus who is now buddy, and Jason who is now
Mario, are busy training with our wonderful professional trainer, Kathy Novokshonoff.
Jason finishes school and travels to his family in
California this week.

Athena, who is now Ness traveled to Ontario to be with
her mums. She wrote us a lovely letter. Here is part of it.

…Thanks for your note from the last time and I
appreciate you letting me know that the big puddle in
front of my home is called a lake. I tried putting my
paws into it the other day but a wave (my water
vocabulary is growing) went a little higher than I was
expecting and made me run away onto drier ground.
I’ll stick to mud puddles which I totally enjoy
thrashing around in - this seems to elicit large
laughs from people watching me so I guess I’ll keep
doing it for now.
As soon as I meet people they all seem to gush over
my eyes. Do you know why they do that? I figure eyes
are eyes so I immediately roll over to make sure they
don’t forget that to me the most important part is my
tummy.
love Ness

Pan, now Jock has a family who came to pick him up and
drive him home. We were lucky enough to spend some time with the Van Zyl family. Here they are just before they took Jock home.

Doni who is now Poppy lives with the Shachnow family
in California.

We sometimes have visitors at a puppy party planned just for us!

Jason curls up on a friendly lap during the party.

On cool spring evenings we like to go into the living room and nap by the fire.
Cybelle got the cushion.

We have our own play yard but mum likes to supervise us at all times!

See who is available on our Available Puppies Page!

We are here! and there are NINE of us!

Suzie loves motherhood. Perhaps this is because the world now revolves around her, her comfort, her menu and any whim she might have.

We are all here!...well almost, little Selene, who is actually the largest puppy, took her sweet time arriving.

We were thrilled as each puppy born was strong, healthy and came into the world nursing well and singing that special puppy song.

Nine little beings are going to keep us very busy this spring. At three days old their super puppy exercises begin. Already they have met their extended family of human aunts and uncles and are well on their way to being little social butterflies.

Last year we had our first litter of puppies from Suzette. They were smaller than the litter we expect this year as she was mated with a true miniature boy. As Suzette is technically a mini but is as large as a girl can be and still be in that category we used a medium stud and this season we will have true medium puppies.

Suzette is a remarkable girl with riveting eyes that in some lights are a true green. All of her puppies had these wonderful expressive eyes. The other characteristic they shared was a devotion to their people. They are naturally friendly dogs but they truly love their own family and are never very far from their side.

Here are some photos of our puppies from Suzie's first litter:

Suzie's puppies are all happily living with their families.

Tiny Mustardseed is now Winston. This is Winston with his mum.
Winston was kind enough to write us a letter last week.

He said:
Hey, Im having a great time here  rolling over the lawns with my bro Fitz     Eating tons of yummy grub and laying around snoozing on a deck...that I have to share with some big people and sometimes a big and little black poodle..wow  what a blast!  I even get to sleep in to sometimes 5 or sometimes 7 am!!  Think I'll hang in for awhile... Puppy licks and growls to
the gang... Winston

Winston's brother our Mr. Quince is now Fitz and lives practically next door with the Cherkas family of Kelowna who wrote us the nicest letter.

Our puppy Fitz is the most intelligent and loveable puppy we have ever seen. You are amazing breeders and we feel so fortunate to have such a clever boy. He learns so quickly and so wants to please. Last night he went into his kennel at about 11:00 p.m. and cried a bit, fell asleep and did not wake until 6:00 a.m. He has "peed and pood" outside and will not go on the paper. Smart or what? He is now able to walk on a leash and loves going for walks. We are keeping them to short walks. He went over to Winston's house last night and they were not pleased to see each other. Fitz was not his pleasant self. I was worried. Today we let them play outside on the grass and oh my did they have fun. Phew!!!! You should see all the compliments Fitz is getting. I have passed on your name to someone already. Everyone loves him.

Suzie's Hipolita has gone to Trish and Bruce Thom of Edmonton.
Here they are with their new puppy and Suzette just before they left us.
